Kaden Bulmer - Fleming Phoenix

Kaden Bulmer

It's a new year, and we wanted to start it by highlighting some of CILA's great athletes, coaches, and staff who help make this sport so special.

Starting things off is the captain of the Fleming Phoenix's Men's A Loggersports squad, Kaden Bulmer. His events this year are the Standing Block Chop and the Super Swede. This season is his second year as the Phoenix's Men's A captain, and they're in the hunt for another championship after winning in the 2023-24 season.

Starting the sport after seeing a demonstration at the Fleming College Open House back in 2022, Kaden's been hooked ever since. He immediately decided to try out for the team when he started at Fleming that September. Starting a new sport isn't easy, but grit and perseverance paid off as he made the team (Men's B), learned the ropes from his teammates and coaches, and eventually earned the right to captain the Men's A team the following year.

Kaden looks to his coach, Al Cavers, as his greatest influence in the sport, but there are many individuals helping him improve and succeed. From professionals such as Nick Hall, Rod Cumberland, and Marcel Dupuis to teammates (Ethan Johnston, Desmond Burman-Martin), there's no shortage of support for Kaden.

Inspired by role models such as Nate Hodges, Kaden looks to pursue a professional career starting with the Stihl Timbersports Rookie Division, but currently education is foremost on his mind. Soon to finish at Fleming College, Kaden plans to continue his education at the University of New Brunswick and eyes a position on their team.
